From Artwork to an Approved Decoration Sample
A digital logo is a starting point, not the finished decoration. Choose the method with the artwork, fabric, crown structure and placement in view, then approve its execution on the physical product.
Define what must stay recognizable
Send the clearest available artwork, the intended size and placement, and the elements that cannot change. Fine text, gradients and small gaps may need a different method or artwork adjustment from a bold raised mark. A reference image is enough to start discussion; production artwork and the final technique are confirmed during development.
Compare the result, not just the method name
Flat embroidery, raised embroidery, woven or embroidered patches, and print or transfer directions produce different surfaces and edges. Review detail readability, dimensional effect, hand feel and attachment against the actual material. Where a method cannot preserve the requested detail, discuss a feasible alternative rather than promising that every logo works unchanged.
Check placement against seams and assembly
A front-center mark, side detail and closure label have different available areas and access requirements. Seams, reinforcement, visor attachment and internal components can affect the result. Confirm decoration dimensions and location on the selected platform before accepting a mockup as the production instruction.
Approve execution on the cap
Review position, scale, color reference, edge definition, stitch or print appearance, and the reverse or attachment area where relevant. Check whether the decoration changes crown shape or comfort. Record requested changes separately and identify the sample version that is approved; approval of artwork alone is not approval of the finished cap.
Keep rights and testing separate
Only provide logos or artwork you are entitled to use. If the program requires wash, abrasion, adhesion or other testing, agree the applicable requirement and evidence separately. Attractive sample photography is not a test result, and a generic decoration option does not guarantee durability for every fabric or intended use.
